C/O 2016 college search

As my senior year draws closer the more intimidated I feel. It seems almost impossible to look at all of the colleges out there and I am hoping that you all could help me out. I am a Florida resident open to either staying in state or leaving, I have no preference. My freshman and sophomore grades were horrendous due to anxiety and major surgery in my sophomore year that left me unable to walk independently for several months. My junior year however things have turned around for me, mainly A’s with B’s in my most rigorous class and have gotten up to a 3.4, which is still pitiful. For extra curricular I have two years of marching band, head of newspaper staff, and five volunteer hours a week teaching children’s art classes. I took the SAT in December without cracking open any study books to give myself a base line and received a 1780 which I definitely plan on improving and am taking the ACT this month. My major of choice is computer science, I have a basic knowledge of programming and am taking AP computer science at my school next year. I would prefer a campus with active student life and a lot of outdoor life (parks, trails, lakes, etc.). Tuition wise my parents are able to pay up to $20,000 out of pocket each year. If you have made it this far thank you for reading this, I’m open to any colleges that may come to mind.
