I applied to Fordham, Syracuse, George Washington, University of Rochester, etc. for regular decision. I have a GPA of 3.7 and got a 2080 on my SATs. I’m the editor-in-chief of the school newspaper, founder and president of the photo club, a varsity athlete, a teacher’s aid in an elementary level special needs class after school, an NHS member, etc. I’d never received lower than a B in a class, but in second quarter of my senior year I got a C in one of my classes. First quarter I got 5 A’s and 2 B+'s, and second quarter I got 4 A’s, 2 B+'s, and of course the C. Do you think this one grade will keep me from being admitted? Fordham and Syracuse are two of my top picks because I want to major in communications, and I’m terrified the C will keep me from getting in.
