I’m a high school junior, my GPA is good, 3.58(unweighted) and 4.35(weighted). I recieved a C for my journalism class when I was in 9th grade. I plan on retaking the SAT, and i’m aiming for 1360-1450. I’m also taking 4 subject tests. Will the “C” look really bad on my transcripts?
Why are you taking 4 subject tests? Why don’t you just take 2 subject tests, but try to get higher scores by spending more time on those two? 800 on two subject tests are LOT better than getting 700 on four tests.
A ‘C’ will not ruin your chances.
I was considering take 4, but a couple of my teachers told me that it would be unnecessary. So, I decided to take only 3. The subjects that I chose are strong subjects for me.
I think that if the rest of your grades soph, junior, and senior year are good, one “c” will not taint your application. Admissions understand that freshman year was a while ago and value improvement. Your GPA is very good so I assume u should be just fine
