11 California CC’s have official housing, but there are some CA CC’s that have housing agreements with other colleges. For example, SBCC has places where both UC and CC students stay.

Also, what CC’s have interactions with other colleges?

Most people in my experience become friends with other people who are in there classes, however if you’re outgoing enough you could meet others as well. while i was attending community college i networked with someone who now has his PHD in engineering. Met him at Chipotle of all places.

IME, most people who go to CCs DO commute. You make friends in a bunch of ways like friends of friends, room mates (if you’re living in an apartment with others) people at parties, etc.

But is there any community colleges that DO have social life for people who are not living at home? I’m trying to apply to a cc with housing near a 4-year college.

i’m not sure about any CCs with housing. As far as CCs that are near four-years, LATTC is near USC; SMC and WLAC are near UCLA; PCC is near caltech.

i wasnt even aware that CC’s shared housing agreements with universities…

as far as social life goes…its really how you approach it.
CC’s have plenty to offer, clubs, organizations, more clubs lol.
but CC’s usually do not have greek life.
