I’m a current junior and I was looking into colleges in California that I can apply to for next year.

I’m not 100% set on my undergrad major, but I do know that whatever I do, I’ll be heading off to law school anyway. However, I do want to do something along the lines of a business, economics, or a legal studies undergrad.

I know that Berkeley has a legal studies undergrad, but that’s pretty much it. I’m planning to apply to a majority of the UCs, Cal Poly, and USC, but other than those, I have pretty much no idea what to apply to.

Does anyone have a list of universities in California that have good programs for the majors I’m interested in?

do NOT do a legal studies program if you are aspiring to law schools. (Law schools believe that they are not rigorous enough.) Yes, Cal does have a program, but it is more rigorous than most.

Most Cal States have undergrad biz. Of the UC’s, it’s Cal & Merced with full undergrad programs. Irvine is ramping up fast, adn other campuses (such as UCLA and SB) have accounting-biz-econ programs worth considering.

I hear SD’s econ program is pretty decent as well, is it true?

Also, I thought that Cal’s undergrad business was just for juniors and up?

Yes, you apply to Haas as a sophomore. About half of Cal applicants get in. As a freshman, you can apply as Undecided Pre-Business major.

San Diego’s economic program is strong.

Alright, thank you!

Are there any privates in California that I should apply to?
