Cac

do cadets get CAC cards or the green DD-2 military ID’s? and what does it say for rank? just curious

It’s not the green one; it’s the newer card that everyone’s transitioning to. It says “Geneva Conventions Identification Card”. For the rank it’s Cadet; pay grade is Student.

the old DD-2 says “Genevea Con Iden Card” and it says for rotc cadets,

rank PVT
grade E1

which is weird, how PVT isn’t really rank (PV1, PV2)

PVT is correct, there is no pv1. pv2 stands for private second class

then whats the difference between e1 and e2

e-1: Private: PVT
e-2: Private second class: PV2
e-3: Private first class: PFC
e-4: Specialist: SPC

rank after DUI, EIOU1 ;)

d’oh. never was a e1 :-)

never been an sgt major either, but I still know the rank system.

“DUI, EIOU1”

I can’t wait until I can speak that crazy military language that consists entirely of acronyms. I’ll be able to say stuff like “The situation went all FUBAR when the CO sent the XO to the PX and shipped a load of MRE’s to the DMZ,” and actually know what I’m talking about!
