CAEN account

Did anyone get their password at orientation? The CAEN password site says they usually give them out at orientation. I probably did get it, but forgot it. I mainly want it so I can learn Matlab over the summer using the remote desktop feature. Anyone know if they have Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 on CAEN?

In the meantime you can use Matlab on the statistics server over SSH.

Edit: Link- <a href=“U-M Weblogin - Stale Request”>U-M Weblogin - Stale Request;

not completely sure, but if i remember correctly, yes, they do have visual studio

So did we get access to CAEN yet? I want to know if I forgot my password and should contact the CAEN hotline.

shouold have received it during orientation

I sorta remembered doing something with CAEN at orientation but I’m not sure either. I think I’ve forgotten my pass too lol.

Ya i got into CAEN… freaking unbelievable the amount of software they have on there! Photoshop and the whole shebang from Adobe, Macromedia Studio, Maya, 3ds Max, etc.

How can you get into CAEN, I don’t remeber hearing anything about it at orientation…

IDK if you’re an engineer but I think all engineers are introduced to it.

I’m not an engineer, but that software sounds awesome, plus, I can’t even download the antivirus stuff…

Ok, I feel stupid now. I called the CAEN hotline and found out that they are phasing out the CAEN password and I just need to use my keroberes password. He said some students set up their CAEN password and some didn’t. Either way, I can remotely connect for all the cool applications!
