So, they said I could qualify for the Miller scholar program, which, if accepted, is a $7,000 stipend that follows along with a community service or research project of my own creation. I guess its for CCC transfers who are first gen college students and low income. I like the sound of $7k, but I’m not sure what I could do for a community service project. Anyone else heard of this thing?

I also see this on the portal page… I’d go the research project route. I’m both first generation and low income, but you can be either or.

Just bumping this thread because the deadline for application is June 1st. I think it’s an awesome opportunity to network with faculty and Im sure it looks great on grad school apps too. The app is kind of lengthy but do it if you qualify and have time :)

Bunch of idiots kept replying all and spammed the **** out of my email. Ended up filtering everything from Miller as spam.

Haha yeah that was ■■■■■■■■. I wonder how many people are actually eligible or if all transfers got that email? I really want that $7k lol.
