I just started my first semester at Community College EVER… 24 years post HS graduation. I cannot find any info about how many years back GPA verification is required. I don’t really see why my H.S GPA from 1992 would be of any significance. Seems like an awful lot of work having to search the archives and locate the correct microfiche and/or papyrus it was written on.
Wouldn’t your high school do that for you?
I would imagine so, still impatiently waiting their response. It just seems silly for that requirement given my circumstance.
No, it is not silly. You still have to meet what ever the requirements are today. Contact your school for 2 copies of your Hs transcript; one unofficial copy for your own records and one official copy in the event you maybe edit for the future
I don’t believe you would be eligible for the high school entitlement Cal-Grant as you would have to be a current high school senior or a graudate within the next year, so your next option would be the Transfer entitlement Cal-Grant. This is the grant based on your CC GPA when you go to transfer to a four year school (after you receive your AA). However, the Transfer Entitlement Cal Grant is for students who graduated after June 30, 2000.
When did you graduate high school?
