<p>Ok, so I put down the 3 of my schools for the FAFSA form… the thing is… I got into UC Irvine for the winter 2007 quarter. I am going to a community college first for around 4 months… but where does the money go?! Can someone help me…</p>
<p>The money goes unclaimed until you are an enrolled student at UCI. It doesn’t go anywhere since it’s not yours per se, but more or less a report of what you should be getting once you’re there.</p>
<p>Since you will be going to a community college first, just make sure you submit your FAFSA to that college if you haven’t already. Grant Aid such as Pell and Cal Grants are usually more than enough when going to a community college.</p>
<p>Put UC Irvine on your fafsa, and cal grant should sent you a new statement showing how much you’ll get for UCI.</p>
<p>I’d also not use the Cal grant for a community college. Just use up your pell grant.</p>
