Yes, it will help - but it does not guarantee admission. I graduated with an AS-T in Physics and another in Mathematics from my community college. The Associate for Transfer program is different than the TAG - which I believe is a UC specific program. Even with the TAG at UC schools there were caveats.
Basically if you complete the AS-T, that shows you’ve completed the GEs that the CSU’s are looking for and makes you more competitive. If you can get the AA/AS-T, and complete some major specific courses, then you will be looking good.
Also if I remember correctly, the AA-T program does guarantee you will be admitted to at least one of the CSUs you apply to.
