I’m curious what your Cal Poly GPA was…and they don’t look at subject tests, but great job on that math SAT II score! Also, what was your MCA?
is there any chance that decisions come out at the end of this week?
I expect decisions to come out later this year given the increase in applications.
@CopperlineX2, there’s a reason my son didn’t apply to any of the UCs. 
Had the fee increase been in place at the time he made his choice, he probably would have chosen Utah. They have a very well respected ME program, he’s an avid, lifelong skier, but most importantly, they gave him a free year, followed by three instate. The price difference would have been too great, especially considering we said we’d split the savings with him and put it in the bank.
I do believe the new fee will result in a lowering overall quality of the OOS who are admitted.
Seems weird they would release Amogha23 and no-one else if he is instate.
@VickiSoCal There were other admits that were citizens who studied abroad. Maybe they handle applicants differently if they studied at all overseas.
That’s still very odd. There should be thousands of international applicants. Why do they release a couple every week for many weeks? What’s special about the few early admits?
@bogeyorpar CC is a very small sample…each year we hear max 200 acceptances out of 15-16K. If the trickle we’re seeing is the result of some pile of applications that have to be reviewed manually because they don’t fit neatly into the MCA process, then they’re probably handled in the order they’re stacked on someone’s desk. The 3 or 4 acceptances we’ve seen probably represent a few hundred.
