Maybe they got rid of the computer science program. If so, I just wish they would have removed it from the application.
Anyone heard for OOS mechanical engineering?
@ilovedoggos did you just hear at time of post, or same time as others, around 2:15?
Waiting for BioMedical Engineering…
SAT: 1360
Weighted GPA: 4.83 (Capped at 4.2)
MCA: 4613 and tons of EC and 9 AP classes.
Hope I get in!!
@KES2022 Why would they get rid of it without removing it from the application? That seems awfully silly. And what would happen then to all the CS applicants? idk
WHERE IS IN STATE BIO SCI
Just because you haven’t heard yet doesn’t mean you have been rejected. My DD is in-state and is still waiting to hear back for Mechanical Engineering. Her stats look comparable to others accepted - 34 ACT, 4.5 WGPA. I think it just takes time…
Still waiting for biomedical engineering
instate
ACT 31
Weighted gpa 4.03
MCA- 4300 (if calculated correctly)
Trying to not get my hopes up
I don’t know what’s taking them so long.
The applicant selection process is quite simple. If you’re application is a “moe”, you’re in…eeny meeny miny moe.
Honestly^^ everything is computerized. I think all of us want to assume that they’re releasing acceptances in some constructed and organized way, when their offices are probably in chaos. I think most of the process has been random (other than major specific releases maybe).
Accepted
Biological Sciences
In-State
MCA: 4400
My son was just accepted
Bio Sci
In state
4.13 cp
Never calculated MCA
Omg what is up with business admin it’s like every other major has had an acceptance but it.
I am waiting for my Sons decision as well and he is a business admin major
does anyone have in info on when Business Admin decisions will start rolling out?
Hi guys! I was admitted to Cal Poly SLO a few years ago, but it seems like just yesterday I was in your shoes! I know this process can be very stressful but I’m here to answer any questions and help if I can! I was admitted to civil engineering.
The first thing that everyone should know is that Cal Poly typically does not release applications in several “waves”. There is only one wave of acceptances. If you have heard other people getting into the major you applied for, but you aren’t in yet, unfortunately you likely will not be accepted. As far as I know, admissions came out starting Thursday. This is the same as is it was my year. I believe that admissions will continue to come out through Tuesday or so, if the pattern remains the same. Admissions are often released in ABC order by college. However, if you have not heard of anyone getting into your major yet, but people have been getting into majors alphabetically after yours, I wouldn’t worry. I know its hard, but I wouldn’t start to really panic until the middle of next week.
The last thing that everyone should be aware of is that the over acceptance of students last year WILL NOT effect you all this year. Cal Poly will have seven (I think) huge new dorms next year for freshman.
Good luck and let me know if you have any questions!
@SPSLOCivil - Once they start rolling out the acceptances for a specific major, about how long does that take? From your post, it suggests that we can expect to wait Thursday - Tuesday. Meaning, we might not even hear today. Is that correct?
I’ve been checking every 15 minutes for like the last 3 days… FIANLLY ACCEPTED!!
Major: Bio Sci
In-State
CP GPA: 4.14
1350 SAT, 31 ACT (although I don’t think they ever receive my ACT score)
MCA: around 4500 I think?
@SPSLOCivil they have accepted by majors that are after business alphabetically. No one has heard from business adm yet. Do you think it will come tonight mostly?
@bluestonessssss When they roll out a specific major I would say its pretty much “instant”. Maybe up to an hour if things are weird. But just from monitoring this page and keeping up with people that I know personally who are applying, as soon as someone says that they got into a specific major on this forum, the person I actually know in real life has gotten in as well. Sorry if that was confusing. But yes, I would expect that if your major has not been announced yet, you may have to wait until Monday or Tuesday.
