Cal Poly Pomona vs University of La Verne

I’m really having difficulty deciding where to go. Which is more “prestigious”? Or are they both the same? Where would you choose if you had to pick between the two [Cal Poly Pomona or University of La Verne] and why?? Thanks!

La Verne isn’t very well known outside of SoCal. What’s your major?

Political Science
Would you suggest going to Cal Poly then? I don’t really plan on going outside of Southern California though.

If you were going to study engineering then CPP would be the obvious choice. I don’t know enough about CPP’s political science department to help you. Why don’t you post this question on the CPP board - you might get better answers there?

Also, see if you can find out where La Verne’s recent political science graduates went after graduation. Grad school? work? what percent are unemployed? And compare that to the Cal Poly numbers.

Is cost not an issue?

Forget the prestige and go where you think you will learn the most, and have an enriching college experience.

Obviously Pomona is huge and LaVerne is quite small. Where will you feel most comfortable? Do you like the anonymity or the feeling that you know everyone?
