Ok so I applied to cal poly pomona on nov 2014, my admission still says “ready of decision” I believe because I’m going to take the ept at cal poly with is required. My gpa is 3.33 and 3.625 weighted. I got 1010 on the sat (550 on math 460 on English) I got a 21 on the act (24 on math 17 on English) my English skills are horrible. I’m a first generation student and I applied under the major computer science. My senior courses if that makes a difference is Ap Calculus BC, AP Physics C, AP government, Spanish 3, Ap Computer Science A, and ERWC. I got rejected from everywhere else cal poly is the only school left or I have to go to community college:( more info… My mom single handle takes care of us (family of 4) 2 going to college and her income is $19k per year.
I’m a freshman going to college… Thing that is scaring me is I heard freshman’s are required to dorm and I still haven’t gotten an answer from cal poly… Is it true if housing is full I can be accepted?
I am sorry to say that if you have not heard by now, that you will not be getting an acceptance. If you look at the Stats for the accepted applicants and even the waitlisted applicants, you are well below the average. (posts #32/64/118/168) on the accepted thread.
CC would be your best option since you can work hard to get a good GPA, no test scores needed to transfer and look in to the CSU or UC transfer agreements with your CC. There is TAG for the UC’s, in which you take the required courses and get the required GPA, you will be guaranteed admission to (UCM/UCR/UCI/UCD/USCSC). Also there is the AAT or AST transfer agreements for the Cal States.

My admission was withdrawn by csu fullerton because I sent my 7th transcript late… Is there anything I can do ?
Regarding the TAG program can u light some more information for example what classes I’m supposed to take…is there requirements I need to join etc…I wiuld really appreciate it
- You could send an appeal to CSUF with your 7th semester transcript attached. Since you missed the deadline, this will probably not work, but it is worth a try.
- Here are some links regarding the TAG program. Each UC that participates will have their own course requirements so you need to decide which UC you plan to TAG and follow their guidelines. I have attached an FAQ for UCD Tag also.

I think that there is still a possibility for you to get in because they don’t stop sending letters until the 30th of this month. I was worried about that as well about a week ago and I got wait listed due to sociology being an impacted major. However, I accepted the wait list and just got in two days ago. My friend just heard back from CPP as well and got wait listed. Im guessing that at this time that is what they are sending. Just in case you do get wait listed and accept it make sure that you take into consideration other schools because your enrollment is not guaranteed. Goodluck!
@daniyal217 If you check your portal it actually lets you know 24 hours earlier than the email notification you would be getting, so I suggest you constantly check your portal. For the housing I know that if housing is full you are still able to get your enrollment and attend that school you just wouldn’t have housing (not mandatory).
