My son received the survey email as well. It felt like a good sign.
No, not everyone did.
OOS S24 did not receive the survey. Not sure if that means anything.
Based on what I’ve observed from cal poly admissions (my two oldest accepted and both attended), I’d be surprised if they’re so sophisticated to tie already admitted students to a survey. I wouldn’t read too much into it. My third kiddo is awaiting decision and(edit) looks like he did receive.

It is odd how some did and didn’t receive the survey. Not easily explained by emails into spam. I suspect your are right about lack of sophistication, or simply a random sampling. Not reading anything into this.
My guess is the students who got it are on a mailing list from something else - virtual tour, signed up for mailings on naviance, etc. My kid did get the email and responded but it’s likely just because they clicked a box somewhere.

Also a heads up that the cal poly portal used to go down every Wednesday night for maintenance. In case that happens again and causes any panic. Good luck to everyone, I know waiting is so hard.

OK. We are officially getting more nervous. Feels like this coming week…maybe Friday? is the first possible admit wave. In the past it came out on March 10, but this year that falls on a Sunday. It’s going to be a long week

I wish mine would let me check the portals. No dice. All I can do is hope that he does it periodically as I’m just done asking: “Did you check your portals today?” Might have been easier if he’d just let me login, but oh well.

This made me laugh! There is no way I would get my sons login and passwords. I am amazed, and possibly a little jealous, that others on this board have that relationship with their kids. I argue with myself that the independence streak is good.

Oh mine would enthusiastically hand them over and have me do the checking. But I’m attempting to at least make it look like I’m preparing them for independence.

It’s a habit I got into with my older kid. I think they are overwhelmed and done with the whole process. But I don’t ruin any surprises. I just tell them to check their portals if I see that there might be news.

S24 does not let me and wife see his essays. Doesn’t share the password for his college admission email. Doesn’t share login/password for any college portal. All we can do is paying for his education : (
