Congratulations!! My daughter is a third year math major at CalPoly SLO and so happy! It has been an incredible experience so far. She heard in the first wave like what’s happening now. No acceptance yet for my son (CS). Since we know how these decisions roll out, we’re already feeling bummed.

I texted my ao this : “ I have a quick question, my portal still says awaiting decision and to my understanding most acceptances come out in the first wave, does this mean I no longer have a chance of getting accepted? (Please enjoy your weekend I’ll wait until you are able to return)
This is what she said:
“I’m happy to answer this other question. Like I said, committees meet at different times, so, no, that does not mean that students won’t be accepted going forward.”
There is a sliver of hope for us who still have awaiting decisions… fingers crossed

Congrats to your daughter! Cal Poly SLO has been at the very top of the list since our visit last Spring. We’re so excited tonight - especially after those two UC waitlist decisions. Hoping for an invitation to apply to the Honors College, but not sure if she will make the cut - either way we are thrilled and this makes the wait for the next three so much less stressful.
