Cal State Long Beach Class of 2029 Official Thread

CSULB really emphasizes the local priority.

Applicants who are considered local based on their high school of graduation or military status who meet the CSULB minimum eligibility requirements but are not admissible to the major will be offered admission as an undeclared student.

You’re not alone (see stats above) !

The cap on the CSU GPA hurts my son. His UW GPA is 4.0 but his CSU GPA is only 4.18.

The CSU’s will not just look at GPA but the overall self reported courses/ grades and consider HS course rigor over the cap.

Any updates on when decisions are coming out?

Did you not hear yet? I think a lot of decision were posted last month.

Are you still waiting to hear? Freshman decisions have been rolling February 14.

yes… my daughter took a gap year and they requested her transcripts about 3 weeks ago… last year she was accepted and we heard back during the first wave.

So they are requiring an additional review due to the Gap year? I guess you will have to be patient since they are still reviewing Transfer applicants also. You could email or call admissions for an update if you do not hear by the end of the month.
