<p>Which school would be better for business? </p>
<p>I love the atmosphere of Santa Barbara but it seems like their business program only stretches to accounting (which I don’t really want). On the other hand, Long Beach is a commuter school which seems boring but it has more variety in business.</p>

<p>… specific course-related curricula would be in accounting, wrt business-sector employment.</p>
<p>Finance, consulting, banking; administration; sales, marketing-related; public relations; etc… don’t.</p>
<p>So, though, CSULB might have a finance major and other sub BuAd catagories - sounds great on a degree, there isn’t anything within the bus field that UCSB couldn’t do for you with its Bus-Econ degree (and even accting per 1st paragraph) (and one has to wonder about a school that offers, say, a pub-relations or even marketing degree wrt rigor).</p>
<p>In fact, you could go to SB and major in, say, general engineering (or electrical, or whatever sub-e field), and probably be a good candidate for, say, consulting, if you do well.</p>
<p>And by going to UCSB, you’ll keep you options open for a possible foray into grad school if you wanted, law, MBA, etc, more than LB, the latter which is geared towards those who just want undergrad degrees.</p>
<p>Your college experience would probably be richer at SB also (but you can make your college experience rich anywhere). I’m not inferring anything wrt rankings; they are both very good schools in particular to what you want in your studies. BOL.</p>
<p>^ Agree. Other things to consider:</p>

<li>UC will be more expensive, unless you fall in the Blue and Gold plan.<br></li>
<li>Cal State Long Beach’s business programs are super impacted… Getting required classes can test your patience.</li>

<p>Do Econ, Econ & Accounting, or Communication @ UCSB!! It’s a better school, better location, more respected, etc…</p>
