Cal State U East Bay -- on most selective list????

Okay, I was just googling around for acceptance rates and found this list:

www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/college/rankings/brief/webex/lowacc_brief.php

Can someone explain to me how Cal State U East Bay ended up on it? It makes it seem as if it is a hard to get into as Berkeley (or many other schools that I know are much harder to get into!)

Just goes to show the value of polls, surveys, rankings etc. Besides, all that selectivity shows is that (in relative terms) a larger number of people applied for a smaller number of available spots. At best, I guess it just shows how popular a school might be.

hahahaahaha.

Cal State San Bernardino is even more selective. Obviously, USNews’ computers are whack since Hayward and San Bernardino accept 100% of all minimally qualified local apps; they are not at all selective.
