My class is only at the area between curves, which is the beginning of chapter 6 in my book (my book has over 20 chapters I believe)

Am I really that far behind everyone else? Or is the book just advanced?

Also, I do very well in AB (my school doesn’t offer BC) and was planning to attmept BC…but I’m not sure if I should because of where we are at. We had a lot of kids in the beginning of the year who didn’t belong in the class and most got weeded out, so now we’re moving a little quicker. Where is everyone else?

If you are only at area between curves, you would have to cover A LOT of information within 3 months to take BC. I am taking AB right now, but our class is already done with all the AB material.

I’m in AB (my school doesn’t offer BC either) and we are at the area in between curves too! It’s chapter 8 out of 12 though, but our book apparantly uses an atypical order of topics.

I was thinking of going for BC, too, but I don’t know if I’m going to.

if you are taking the AB and are at that point…u are okay…if you are taking the BC…u are behind…i am in BC but my school offers AB and BC…for BC we are finished with area between the curve…my AB friends haven’t even started area between the curve…so for AB u r okay…for BC you are behind…

We’re at volumes of solids of revolution (having done area between two curves earlier in the week).

There’s really not that much AB material after that in our text, but the BC material takes a little bit of time to latch onto. It would be a tough proposition, but probably doable depending on how well you can tackle topics.
