Calc BC and AP Stats

This is my current high school schedule: Span 4, Accounting, Calc BC, AP Psych, Web Page Design, AP English

This is my problem. I play a lot of fall sports (soccer, cross country) and this year I have learned that I have a stress fracture. As a result, I can’t play any sport for 2 months. So I have been thinking about transfering from Web Page Design to AP Stats since I’ll have more free time. My next sport season won’t be until the spring and by then, most of my classses will be easier because I’m a senior. Is it hard to to have both Calc and Stats? I’ve been thinking about attending U of M and I have good stats: top 5%, 3.94 unweighted gpa, leadership, in state, etc, but my ACT is a 28. So here’s my question, should I take AP Stats or will it not really make much of difference in the admissions process. I plan to pursue a major in business.

The Ross School of Business is even more difficult to get into than UMich overall. UMich computes their own GPA based on grades after freshman year. I am not sure if they use senior year grades - it may only be soph and junior year grades.

My son took Calc & Honors Stat at the same time his senior year and had no problem (he was playing varsity soccer) but he’s really good in math.

I am not sure that one course will make that much of a difference in admissions - a 28 ACT score is pretty low. But you may get 3 more college credits, which is a good thing.

You may want to consider posting this question in the U Mich thread. (Just saw that you are in state- that matters a lot)

Correction: I just saw that UMich stopped recalculating their GPA - so if this will pull up your weighted GPA, that is a good thing.
