Does anyone have any information as to how one’s index number is calculated? Specifically the Ivies? Thanks!

As in, how they rank you against other possible candidates.

BUMP.

You index is ranked by a combination of your LSAT and your GPA (in the context of how prestigious/competitive your school is and what there average LSAt score is, and how many other people that school usually accepts from there). In general, they are given about the same weight. As for the exact formula…I have no idea.

But schools will take your major in mind, and the type of reputation your school have for grade inflation/deflation.
