I was just wondering, are we allowed to have a TI 89 for MAT 101? I know some schools don’t allow that for calc classes. Does Princeton allow students to use TI 89s?

I don’t know why it wouldn’t be allowed.

It depends on the class. You’ll probably be allowed to use a calculator on some parts of the exams and be required to do the other parts by hand. But please don’t take MAT 101. You’ll learn nothing, and people will think you’re stupid when you tell them your schedule.

I second that.

most math classes seem to tolerate calcs for homework but not exams it seems.
