I’m taking Math 51 in the fall and I have a TI-83+. Does anyone know if students in the course tend to have something higher (84, 89, whatever)?

Thanks

I’ve had a TI-89 since middle school, and I just got an 89 Titanium this year, but it’s really not that much better than an 83 or 84. I got those calcs as a gift, but if I had a choice, I would have gotten an 83. I think that most people get 83-pluses, so stick with that. The 89 has some advanced features, but for college calculus, an 83 or 84 is certainly good enough.

Math 51 doesn’t allow calculators on exams, so it really shouldn’t matter too much.
