Calculators/Printers

Should I buy a graphing calculator? I’m (hopefully) taking Calculus 2 and will continue taking math classes. Also, should I buy a printer for my room?

I’m sure a current student can answer this better…but in the meantime I can tell you that my D brought her graphing calculator (she needed it for her HS calculus class so we had one already)…she also brings her own printer for the room…but the printer is not a necessity as I think there is free printing in the library… she got a free printer we bought her computer and she finds it handy to have.

Just graduated this May.

You don’t really need graphing calculator if you’re just taking calculus. You won’t be allowed to use calcs during exams anyways. If you’re going into mechanical engineering however, I’d recommend you get the Ti-nspire WITH CAS.

Printing is free on campus everywhere (there are many computer labs), you don’t need one.
