Hi, My name is Adam Magdaleno. I’m 20 and I’ve been going to Mt. San Antonio College for 2 years now and I’m in the Honors Program and looking to transfer Fall 2018. Iv’e been slacking in math and failing math classes because I’ve always struggled with math all my life. After High School I started getting drastically better grades then my K-12 years and now I think I’m ready to transfer to a 4-year institution in Fall 2018. The only problem is that I can’t transfer to any public colleges (CSU, UC) in California because it’s humanly impossible to finish the steps I need to take to finish Math 110 Statistics in Spring 2018, those are the rules, if I can’t finish stats in spring, I can’t go in the fall. So now I humbly ask some advice from anyone who will see this. You can look at my transcripts below of the time I’ve been at Mt.SAC since Fall 2015.
To get to the point I want to ask everyone if you know of any accredited colleges that DO NOT need a MATH requirement for Transferring and/or a Math Requirement for Graduating with a History BA Degree. I’ve heard many “Open-Curriculum” colleges/universities do not need Math for Transfer/Grad, but I really don’t have an idea for sure. I’ll keep calling up colleges to find out where I can go. If you want to recommend me a college based on my chances after looking at my transcript go ahead and I will look into it. If you have any questions I will answer them. Thanks.
