How much do they take the essays/ extracurriculars into consideration?
I did some brief research at UCI regarding nuclear energy, will they weigh that any?</p>

<p>You’re basically in on the UCs that base admissions via a formula. Cal and UCLA are different so I can’t give you the best advice there.</p>
<p>^ I thought all UCs based it on a formula, that’s why I only supplied the numbers… how do Cal and UCLA determine admissions? I really don’t know much about the the UC admissions process… can you please inform me?</p>
<p>I want to get into Berkeley and UCSD. I could care less about UCLA.</p>
<p>Also, how much do they take subject test scores into consideration? That’s my greatest weakness I think… I know they won’t require them in like two years anyway…</p>
<p>So I’m guessing UC Unweighted GPA is without the 8+ honors/Aps.</p>
