Where did your son get accepted? My daughter is jazz guitar. She might have seen your son at auditions. She was accepted at Eastman, Michigan State, UNT, DePaul, NIU, Loyola of New Orleans and CCM. We live in Cleveland, Oh.
My daughter got into UNT! She met a guitarist from CT when she was there who plays with the One O’Clock band. Is that your son?

He got into FSU, FIU, Oberlin, Peabody, UM Frost, Michigan State, USC Thornton, and UNT. Currently waiting on MSM. We could have totally crossed paths at Michigan State or UNT for sure.
What is his top two choices?

Eastman is her top choice and then vacillating between UNT and MSU. What did your son think of Peabody? My daughter had a weird audition there.
He loved the campus at Peabody. His audition was odd because they asked him to play something that wasn’t on their list of things to prepare for so it caught him off guard.
Julianna’s audition was odd also. They asked odd questions and to play things she wasn’t prepared with. Also there were like 12 people listening and it felt a little bit like a firing squad with more than one person asking questions. She felt great before she went in but then when she came out she couldn’t remember what happened!
