Calling all Overachievers - Summer Program and Scholarships?

I received this today…did anyone else get something like this? It’s an invitation for UT’s summer program but how come it began with the scholarship thing…i checked my UT Direct and no scholarship decision came in yet? so I’m a bit confused…

Hey, yeah I got the same thing. I assumed it was because of the $3500 summer program award, but even then we still have to apply. Do you think the program is really worth it? Insight anyone?

what is this program? i’ve never heard of it. can you only be considered if you applied for scholarships?

I checked my financial aid scholarship information, and saw a $1000 scholarship in my account. Pretty nifty. I think those who recieved the scholarship were then recommended to apply for the program.

Yeah! I got that today too. The Scholarship Recipient part at the top confused me, and I was wondering if they were trying to hint that we received that scholarship? As for me, I plan on applying to the program in the summer, it seems pretty cool, is anyone else up for it? Hey dc88, where did you go to check to check your scholarship money? Because my account doesn’t have anything yet.

can you only appy if you got the scholarship?

go to the financial aid CASH site, and click on my history.

I did not receive any information about the Preview Program although it would be something I would consider.

I did just click on My History on the CASH website and noticed $1,000 for the C.R. Smith Endowment Scholarship but it has no other information, is that the same one everyone else is talking about?

My account has $2500 in it, labeled “President’s Achievement Scholarship - Tier 2”

I think the max was $5000, though.

Anyone else have this?

My account also has $2500 but it’s for “Kurt Steinberg Federated Dept. Stores Scholarship”. Random.

Yeah very random…“Federated Dept. Stores” they own Macy’s, etc.

haha well go us for getting a scholarship (albiet small)

Does anyone know if these scholarships are renewable for all 4 years?
