<p>So from your experience, have you found that the years progressing from 2-4 become more and more boring? I partied a fair bit at the frats and co-ops last semester, so I don’t know if doing so again this year will lose its novelty. I hear that the second year is cool because you start going to more house parties, since most of your friends are living in apartments and houses…So I guess that’ll be fun, no? Any upper-classmen care to share in their experiences?</p>
<p>I actually partied a lot more my sophomore year, not that it’s good considering I did better academically my first year.</p>
<p>Well, the first two years of college are rough… but it’s good to know that you aren’t spending ALL your time studying and not leaving college without any fond memories.</p>
<p>It depends entirely on you. I have friends that party all the time. They did their first year, and their second, and will do so this year as well. That’s just what they do. If that’s what you want, you can and will do it.</p>
<p>Any advice on how one should approach life of a second year student differently than that of a first, or if they should at all?</p>
<p>Heh, depends, how well did you do your first year? I think you should judge for yourself. Some kids I know had sub-3.0GPAs and weren’t very happy with themselves, so they resolved to work harder. I was doing fine, so I kept my same attitude. The only reason you should change your approach is if you weren’t happy with your original approach. At least, that’s my opinion.</p>
<p>In all honesty, partying is NOT worth it, especially if you want to go to grad school. I did better my first year, and I regret slacking off my second year.</p>
<p>I think you should all work harder, dayum it.</p>
<p>Seriously, partying is overrated.</p>
<p>But it’s not like you party when you need to be studying…what else are you gonna be doing on a Friday and/or Saturday night? You party, relax…and wake up at 11 the next morning and hit the books- its that simple.</p>
<p>Waking up at 11 the next morning is not that simple…but yeah I haven’t partied in a couple (2) weeks and my skin looks GREAT.</p>
