haha. our school made us write like 3 practice MME essays with core democratic values and using “prior knowledge” and all that crap. it was SO lame but it definitely helped today because they gave us the rubric they’d be using when we wrote them before, and i knew sort of how to do it.

except i sort of ran out of time on the first essay but whatever.

why were there 2 social studies parts, though?? they were the EXACT SAME kinds of things repeated twice. it didn’t make sense to me, unless one was like an “experimental” part…

HI i took it as well, i must admit though our science portion (ACT) was not easy at all. Infact it was kind of hard. Everything else was pretty much a joke. And if anyone does have the act test book can you let me know!

The 16 to 27th is not when it will come. The ACT for state testing booklet says within 3to 4 weeks. That means the results should come sometime this week or early next week.

Haha, 1MX has a point. It is very easy to get the scholarship. Although are any of you planning to attened a michigan college? U of M is my backup so i definitely am not.

I’m using it at a community college, online courses, easiest things in the world, and they look fantastic on your college application. This past year (Junior) I have earned 21 credit hours without even opening a book, all online. Most of them were just the community college version of a class i was taking…Us hist was history before 20th cent. Micro/Macro economics was intro to ec.

I’m still waiting for them. Ive been anxiously awaiting the mail every day during spring break and nothing. I hope some time this week they will come.

Anyone taking the April 14th ACT? I realize we probably won’t have scores by then and when we do get them, won’t have time to prep, but I just decided to sign up for the April 14th because
a. Less people taking it = less crowded = me less nervous
b. The MEAP one was ridiculously hard so I know I didn’t do that good on it

I am still curious on how they are doing the curve: Certainly it was a slightly more difficult test than usual, and adding an extra point would be logical. The problem with this is that I was told that since the sampling was only MI students they were not going to apply any special curve to it. This is terrible considering that alot of kids who were forced to take it / screwed around since it was during the week. Their scores would inflate the other scores, but ACT swears that no special provisions will be made. I am curious to see the outcome.
