calls from college that blind sided you

<p>Anyone else have a call from their college kid that changed your life- and theirs?</p>

<p>In December of 2008 - we received a 3am phone call that changed our lives. My son’s bestfriend was killed by a accidental self inflicted gunshot wound to the neck. This is because their college house was robbed a few weeks before- at gun point. So the 6 guys decided to buy a gun for protection. Our lives have never been the same.</p>

<p>nothing that dramatic at all. Just that son was about to be asked to leave (after 3 years) for failing all his classes.</p>
