CALS vs. College of Arts and Sciences?

How do these two colleges differ in their academic focuses?

Some people call CAS more of a "liberal arts college" in that it offers a wide variety of humanities majors. Along with these, there are also science majors, hence the name College of Arts and Sciences. You'll find majors ranging from chemistry, to economics, to Asian studies, to government, and more.

CALS specializes more toward agriculture and the focused study of "life sciences" (biology, meteorology, etc.). You'll find majors such as animal science, biological engineering, crop and soil science, and food science in this college. Interestingly enough, there is also a minority of majors essentially non-related to the other majors in CALS. Landscape architecture, applied economics and management, information science, communications, and developmental sociology come to mind.
