I was wondering If we would need to have our classes chosen before attending Calso. I have absolutely no idea of what to take for next year and I was thinking maybe the advisors there would help me choose my classes. Is that how it works or is Calso iust for signing up for classes?

P.S; Is it possible not to take math during the first year for Pre-Med? Is there a webpage which has the required classes for Pre-Med Students? ( to help choose classes for next year.)

Thanks for any help.;)

they’ll help you, but read through some catalogues or something…

When I was up at Cal Day, I got a sheet of paper that told me what to take, and all the various options – like if you’ve never taken Math XYZ, take Math ABC first and so on. I think I also found it online somewhere, but everytime I try and find something (like the schedule planner, tutorial, etc.), I lose the bloody link and forget to write it down. So it takes me another half hour trying to wade through it. I’m sorry, but other UC websites are much more user friendly. Telebears is a maze.

try to know what classes you want to take before coming to calso… the tutorial should help you.

You should have a general idea of what sort of classes you have to take before you get there. Your CalSO counselor and student adviser will help you narrow down your courses and assist you in creating your schedule.
