Keep in mind that California’s time is 3 hours behind EST (so it’s about 3 PM there). There is ample time left.

In 2015 (Caltech class of 2019), when the days of the week aligned with those of March 2020, Caltech RD seems to have released at 10PM EST / 7PM PST according to the posts on CC. But that was on March 13th, not 7th.
I think at this point I will just take a break from it and check again tomorrow. This consumed the entirety of my day.
Why don’t they just announce the date and time like all other colleges?

Waitlisted! Expected to get rejected. Suppose this is something, especially cause I know Caltech doesn’t waitlist many people
Waitlisted as well. What are our chances now
From previous years Caltech waitlists around 400-600 applicants, and usually takes less than 20 (besides one year where I think they took 40). Honestly our chances of getting in after waitlist are pretty minimal, but just by getting waitlisted we’re in about the top 15-20% of applicants, which I guess it something. Caltech historically rejects far more than they accept/waitlist.

@ParentInColorado Caltech canceled all public events until April 6 for now. No word about the prefrosh weekend, but my guess is it won’t happen. Too bad, it’s a lot of fun. I’m in CO also and my son is a Caltech frosh, feel free to ask questions.
