I’ve been looking into Calvin college and I was wondering how the majority of students fell on the political spectrum. I am a little more conservative myself and was wondering if I would get looked down upon there
As an alum, albeit 30 years ago, no, you won’t have any problem being a little more conservative. Think on it–the DeVos (as in current Education Secretary Betsy DeVos) and Prince (as in Erik Prince of Blackwater) families are major donors to Calvin.
Certain departments (like many other schools) tend to be more progressive, others more conservative. A conservative might not fit in with the rest of the philosophy, art, or sociology majors, but she/he would fit in with the majority of business or engineering students.
