Cambridge 5 AP’s for International Students

According to the website here, for international students from the U.S.,
“ Typically, suitable evidence of preparation for entry would comprise a minimum of five Advanced Placement (AP) Scores at grade 5, normally taken within two years of matriculation and with particular focus on APs that are taken in subjects related to the course applied for. In addition, high passing marks on your school qualification (eg the relevant US High School Diploma) and a high score on the SAT (I) Reasoning Test or ACT, are expected. Applicants taking these tests are required to disclose all tests taken and scores achieved (including retakes). Failure to disclose any scores may disadvantage your application, and Cambridge Colleges reserve the right to contact ACT, College Board or your school to confirm your results.”

Am I correct in interpreting this as meaning I should take a total of 5 AP tests with a 5 in sophomore and junior year?

I got a 5 on AP Calc BC in 8th grade and a 5 on AP Stats in 9th grade, and I’ve continued to take higher math since then. But, I will only have taken 4 AP’s in my sophomore and junior year (Chem, US History, Phys 1, CS Principles). Should I just retake AP Calc BC in my junior year to meet the requirement of 5 AP’s? I’m not sure if this is allowed, but I’m not quite sure why they want a 2-year limit in the first place. Is it because we might forget the material?

If I didn’t have to report all of my scores I might’ve taken Phys 2 self-studying, but I don’t really want to risk doing bad.

No. It’s saying junior and senior year. Note the word “typically.” Exams taken before junior year still count.

If you don’t have 5 by the time you apply, you can take the balance senior year, although any offer would be conditional on getting 5’s in those subjects. If you don’t meet the conditions, the offer goes away. And no, retaking an exam does not count as an additional exam.
