<p>It has been pretty quiet couple of months on the campaign trail. Only a few single digit million dollar donations here-and-there. Anyone have some hunches on what this summer will bring? </p>
<p>Keep in mind that around this time last year the we received the 125mm naming donation for Keck. </p>
<p>Also, this August will be the first official year of the campaign. The billion raise last year was during part of the quiet phase. </p>
<p>I highly doubt Nikias would settle for an okay first official year. </p>
<p>My predictions:
New Art Building
Reno of Heritage Hall
Possibly a new Keck Hosiptal Outpatient Expansion.</p>
<p>I also believe the School of Theatre will be named on July 1.</p>
<p>Campaign goals were listed in the literature. Major donations may involve months of negotiations. These were the capital campaign goals I read:</p>
<p>Interdisciplinary social sciences building
Interdisciplinary arts building for theatre, fine arts and music
Building for research in molecular science and engineering
Marshall undergraduate building
Residential Colleges
Completion of University Village</p>
<p>Campaign goals for the medical campus were listed:</p>
<p>Interdisciplinary instructional building
Health Consultation Center III
Research facilities
Hospital expansion
Student housing
Beautification and amenities</p>
<p>The last donation from the Keck Foundation to USC was $150 million.</p>
<p>After a search the most recent gifts that received publicity were:</p>
<p>Keck Institute of Urology–$13.3 million
New Aquatics Center–$8 million
Stroke Clinic–$6 million
Establishment of a chair in real estate–$4 million
Anonymous gifts (2) to establish the Dean Gillam Fund in Dornsife–$1 million</p>
<p>USC support groups give substantial amounts. One example is Marshall Partners. At one of the levels partners pledge $150,000 per year.</p>
<p>Yeah, I am getting anxious and wanting to know what is going to happen over the summer. Those captial projects are anticipated throughout the whole duration of the campaign (2018). </p>
<p>I did some research and found that these are some projects that are going to be started or completed during this summer:</p>

<li>John McKay Center will be completed</li>
<li>University Club will be completed</li>
<li>Caruso Catholic Center will be completed</li>
<li>Final Phase of SCA Complex will be completed</li>
<li>Renovation of EVK and Cafe '84 will be completed</li>
<li>Parking Structure X renovation will be completed</li>
<li>Annenberg Hall will start (est completion date 11/2013) </li>
<li>Heritage Hall Renvoation will start (est completion date 8/2013) </li>
<li>New Swim Stadium will start (est completion date TBD) </li>
<li>New Social Science Building will start (est completion date TBD)</li>

<p>Do you have any idea when the renovation project surrounding Tommy Trojan will be completed?</p>
<p>It was suppose to be 6/1 but I’m thinking sometime in July. Im really curious to see what they do with Hahn Plaza and Tommy Trojan.</p>
