<p>Work Study jobs are awarded in your financial aid package. It is funds from the federal government that the colleges can award to students who have need.</p>
<p>They do not reduce the amount on your tuition bill.</p>
<p>My kids have always used money from Work Study as their own spending money at college.</p>
<p>Most colleges bill you by the semester. </p>
<p>We have always used Tuition Management Systems or similar setup to pay for college 10 months out of the year, much like paying for home heating oil here in the Northeast, a budget payment plan.</p>
<p>And some schools will allow work study earnings to be deposited directly to your bursar’s account. you would then apply these earnings to your next bill.</p>
