Hey guys, I recently received an email from a HYP coach saying that he knows admissions ‘enjoyed’ my arts submission. Now I know I’m not getting a likely am not a top recruit (in fact, I don’t think I’m being recruited at all) but does the fact that he knows how it fared and that he told me to send it to the sports team’s liason in the admissions office mean anything?

Are you an athlete? Perhaps he’s looking at you as a potential walk-on if he saw you are also an athlete.
Why would a coach care how your art submission went over at admissions?

I am an athlete. I would also suspect that I am a walk-on, but having assumed the coach would have no role in my application this has kind of confused me.

hmmm interesting.
So you are waiting on RD results?

As a transfer of freshman admit? I see you are in int’l app.

Don’t know your sport or the level of play, perhaps the coach hopes you will walk on.

I dont take this as the coach supporting the art supplement. I take it as the coach knows about you because of admissions.

Seems like a positive sign. Don’t you think so?

Yep, counting down the days till RD results come out on the 28th. I’ll be a freshman.

Perhaps its better if I PM you the specifics.

But yeah, happy with the feedback :)

:) :)

I think POmani you should be looking fwd to the results. Fingers crossed. :)

Cheers mate!
