If i wanted to go to medical school to become a doctor, can a computer science major help me pay for it all? or would it not be enough?

It depends on whether you want to go to a private school with an 80k per year tab or a public school with only 30k tab and how long you are planning to work to get that money saved up.

Can it? Sure, there are options where it would pay for medical school. Realistically, though, you will make more money in the long term borrowing the money and paying it back later… there is just more risk involved.

If you want to become a doctor just go for it. If you are worried about debt, you could do some type of program after graduation. Work for the government or something, where you work x amount of year and they pay for x amount of debt. Sounds similar to this hypothetical siutation.

The question makes no sense to me, unless the idea is to work as a programmer for a few years before going to medical school.
