I don’t want a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts, or to do the Concurrent Degree Option. I only want to major in Psych at CCAS. However, I am an AP Art student who is submitting an art supplement (to help show my passion and talent). The CCAS essay supplement asks about two intellectual interests, and “why CCAS would be the right environment in which to pursue your interests”. Thus, I wanted to talk about psych and my artwork, but I don’t know if I can say that I’d take classes at the AAP… I looked on the website and could not find any info.

With the permission of the advisor, courses in other departments or at other universities (such as through Cornell Abroad) may be accepted toward the major requirements. If the latter, be prepared to produce a syllabus.

Yup i think u can lol

I thought that meant that courses in other schools can possibly be accepted toward the AAP credit requirements.

Maybe I’m overtired.

@artisticnative shiet… im not sure actually now that you’ve said it… lol i would suggest calling them

haha okay thanks!

@artisticnative BTW, AAP is da bomb

Students in arts and sciences can take classes in other colleges. To graduate from arts and sciences, you need 120 academic credits. 100 of those credits must be from arts and sciences, but the other 20 can be from whatever outside college (or AP credits) you wish.

Haha okay @thegrant Thanks @Ranza123. I was just wondering if AAP is open to letting randos from CAS into their classes.

I’m sure you can take classes there. Cornell allows you to take classes across a variety of disciplines, including AAP.

@Ranza123 Great, thanks!
