I am a senior who has been accepted to several schools. I am thinking about quitting a club that I have been in for two years. One of my reccomenders is the staff advisor for this club and I am worried that I may tarnish my relationship with her. Could she write to my schools and get my admissions rescinded?
She’d likely be appalled that you would think it possible.
No.
But if you are thinking of dropping this club, it would be a kindness to discuss it with her before you just vanish. Certainly you have reasons for leaving. Other students might be affected by the same issues, and as the club sponsor she is in a position to encourage changes for the benefit of all the club members.
