Can a review book essentially teach you a year's worth of material?

Umm, we color maps in my AP Human Geography class and talk about Volleyball for half of the period. Our tests are literally straight out of the book. The essays are a breeze.

So, uh… If I read the Princeton Review book and the Barrons, can I get a 5?

LOL - I think you should also check out the materials at AP Central and probably order a released test from the College Board’s Online Store.

You color maps?..How old are you?

^You shouldn’t look down on him just because his teacher makes him color maps. Besides, it’s still a great way to know geography. It’s better than looking at a map and memorizing it.

I believe Barron’s is the best book based on the Consolidated list, but I don’t know since I’m not studying for the exam.

^^
We also do “current events”, watch Disney movies, and talk about random cities, all of which do nothing to further our understanding of the subject.

Yeah, what do you expect from an AP social science class. All the information you need to get a 5 on the exam is your textbook. However, your teacher should lecture just to clarify some information, but reading from a social science textbook shouldn’t be that obscure with information unless it is unorganized.
