Is it possible for a student not in the engineering school to take an engineering class? For instance a physics major may want to take an electronics class in ECE.

Hello,

If you are enrolled in Arts and Sciences, you are only able to register in classes that are designated for Arts and Sciences students. Engineering-specific courses are reserved for students already enrolled in Swanson. For example, ECE 0031 (Linear Circuits and Systems 1) one of the most basic ECE classes requires students to be in Swanson.

If you are interested in enrolling in Swanson, you may apply to transfer after you’ve finished your freshman year.
