Long story short, I had a 3.9 GPA for my first two years in a community college, transferred to Texas A&M, got extremely ill and had to withdraw and move back home. I have been trying to go back in person to no avail. Now my plan is to try to go to school online. But Texas A&M put a state hold on my account, as they are required by law to do. Does this hold also prevent me from receiving federal refunded funds from a school in texas?
How much do you owe and have you contacted A&M to come up with a payment plan?
What is a ‘state hold’ and why are they required to do that just because you withdrew from school? Do you owe the college money? Without that they won’t issue your transcripts to another school.
I already have all of my transcripts. I have been paying them a payment plan for two years. They just can’t take the Texas hold off until its paid in full
Look at this, it may help clarify. This makes me thing you can still get the Pell refund, if there is any refund to be had. How would you have any left to refund? Max Pell is only 5770 per year, are you saying your tuition and fees will be less than that? Also you will have to pass SAP for your new college, maybe you do and it is no problem but maybe not. Then you can’t get any Pell. I think you need to ask your new college, or maybe the old one.
