CAN I GET IN WITH THIS PROFILE AND AMAZING ESSAYS WHEN I’VE READ SO MANY POSTS ABOUT CRAZY MATH-A-THON WINNERS AND 16-YEAR-OLD-FORTUNE-500- FOUNDERS??!!

i just want to know if getting into the ivies is as much of a complete crapshoot as it looks! Any parent/experienced students’ comments?

you’ve got a shot girl

of course you can get in.
not everyone founds fortune 500 companies…only CCers.

Yeah, you have a shot. Unfortunately it really is a crapshoot for the majority of competitive applicants. But you do have a pretty good shot.

I think you have a good shot! Write your essay’s to show how your passion for vocal music/music in general or drama experience has affected your life or others. Be creative. Show Yale why they should take you. Yale loves singers and they have a lot of them. Your application should all fit together showing who you are.

i wouldnt be at all surprised if you got in. In fact, you have done nothing wrong, and there is nothing left to cram in now, so just go for it and hope for the best. That being said, if you want to compare yourself to poeple with similar GPA and SAT - i think Yale excepts around 20% of applying valedictorians.

Thank you- i am feeling better now :)
