Pg 722, question 32 and 35.
For 32, I don’t get the reason why the first paragraph is relating a story about personal experience. Because the second paragraph is also talking about the personal experience. Well, you may say that the second paragraph isn’t about personal experience but sentence 6 is about personal experience.
For 35, the primary effect of the final paragraph is to continue the essay’s tone of playful humor but I don’t find any sentences humorous of funny. I never thought that this writer is trying to narrate this with playful tone. In what point is it playful?
