I got a B in Economics, D in Physics and a D in Maths on my AS Level. I am willing to study hard enough for A2 exam (in May/June) to bring my average grade to a B or Upper C. However, I am willing to apply for the Fall semester 2016 this month January (as early as possible) so I can still receive financial benefits. I am giving my SAT 1 Test this 23rd January 2016.
I would be grateful if you can suggest the best schools (which may even be A or B grade schools willing to accept my grades).
I am also an A level student. From what I know SAT deadlines for most universities has passed (december). What do you think will be your SAT score? Because some universities need a SAT score from just US system high schools and not from us…but if they want it, you’ll need at least 1200+ in critical reading and math. Does your school provide a GPA conversion? Lastly, do you want to go in business and management, because some universities need a minimum B in mathematics?
At this point it is too late to apply to any US college that would give you financial aid.
You need to take the ACT or SAT. However, I don’t know if any US school would give financial aid to someone with British scores that low. They may be fine for admission to an ordinary state school or something. I assume OP is applying for later years as OP has bot yet taken A-levels.
No, there are some schools who have extended deadline for international students like CSU campuses. But financial aid will still be low to nothing unless u have 1300+ sat with a high GPA, which in A level curriculum will only come with A or A*…which in turn is very rare.
But where are you from?
Only a handful of US schools will meet full need of international students, and those schools will be the most competitive ones to be admitted into.
For those schools, unless the candidate has some elite talent/athletic ability, anything less than an A average will make the candidate uncompetitive.
@Ree1234 applying for computer science. I’ve been getting around 1800 on mocks in a controlled environment. Bangladesh. I do have an american passport but I don’t know if it will affect anything other than the deadline date.
@sattut Im applying for Fall 2016. I gave AS level and applying from school so I can put expected grades when apps inquire A2 grades.
